Health Fellow – Independent Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in sourcing deals, conducting due diligence, and providing portfolio support.

• Perform comprehensive market research and present actionable insights through reports and presentations.

• Identify and assess potential investment opportunities within health, wellness, and biotech infrastructure.

• Evaluate prospective and follow-on investments by analyzing financials, key metrics, and potential growth opportunities.

• Investigate targeted sectors, develop strategic insights, and create detailed market maps to refine investment strategies.

• Establish connections with entrepreneurs and the wider healthcare ecosystem to source deals, recognize trends, and create new opportunities.

• Assist portfolio companies with various ad hoc projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated with an MBA, MD, MPH, or PhD, demonstrating a strong interest in healthcare and technology.

• Able to commit 10-15 hours per week.

• 2-6 years of experience in startups, venture capital/private equity, investment banking, consulting, health systems, health plans, or related fields.

• Proven enthusiasm for startups, venture capital, and emerging technologies.

• Strong skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis.

• Proficient in financial modeling and company valuation.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
