Health Coach, Dietitian/Nutritionist – Specialist Weight Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist individuals living with obesity in making lasting lifestyle and behavior modifications.

• Offer nutritional and lifestyle interventions alongside a multidisciplinary team.

• Conduct initial assessments independently and assign service users to appropriate treatment pathways.

• Provide group-based and individual nutritional and lifestyle interventions through video calls.

• Deliver continuous coaching and support via in-app messaging.

• Aid service users with both medicated and non-medicated programs, including GLP-1 medication programs.

• Participate in regular multidisciplinary team meetings to oversee service-user care.

• Attend clinical supervision for complex or high-risk cases.

• Manage clinical risks, including safeguarding issues.

• Ensure compliance with CPD, clinical supervision, and HCPC or AfN registration requirements.

• Safeguard confidential information in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

• Engage in innovation projects, service evaluations, and program development.

⛳️ Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Dietitian or AfN registration as a Nutritionist (Registered Nutritionist or Registered Associate Nutritionist).

• Relevant degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.

• Experience in a weight management, bariatric, or eating disorder environment.

• Proven experience in delivering group-based programs.

• Knowledge of obesity, including the impact of weight stigma.

• Experience or training in health coaching, behavior change, or motivational interviewing.

• Capability to provide supportive, empathetic, patient-centered care to patients with complex physical and mental health challenges.

• Ability to work completely remotely, remaining motivated and organized without an office setting.

• A suitable home working environment, including a private area for confidential consultations and reliable internet access.

• Competence in managing a caseload independently while collaborating with a doctor-led multidisciplinary team.

• Experience in coordinating healthcare services, which includes scheduling assessments and appointments, monitoring attendance, following up with patients, drafting GP letters, and updating protocols.

• Proficiency in using Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software.

• Experience thriving in fast-paced and dynamic start-up settings.

• Confidence in utilizing technology for patient care, documenting and reviewing notes, and providing in-app coaching.

• HCPC or AfN registration number is required with the application.

• Availability for some early evenings and Saturdays as required.
