This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Manage both inbound and outbound calls in a high-tech setting.
• Address general inquiries related to insurance and financial assistance.
• Handle payment processing.
• Initiate and respond to calls on behalf of the client to resolve billing and payment concerns using designated work queues and call pools.
• Provide professional and comprehensive responses to information requests from patients/account holders.
• Obtain payments or facilitate payment arrangements on behalf of the client as necessary.
• Adhere to client-specific guidelines and policies.
• Investigate and respond to inquiries from clients.
• Record and oversee payment arrangements.
• Comply with FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
• Thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Over 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service role with regular public interaction.
• Preferred knowledge or experience in medical terminology, patient billing, healthcare insurance, and/or healthcare administration.
• Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
• Flexibility in scheduling and tasks, including potential evening and Saturday shifts as needed.
• Ability to collaborate successfully within a team-oriented environment.
• Bilingual candidates can provide additional assistance for bilingual calls.
• A broadband internet connection is required; DSL or dial-up is not accepted.
• A hard-wired internet connection is necessary; Wi-Fi or hotspots are not permitted.
• Minimum internet speed requirements include 40 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
• The camera must remain on from the beginning of training through the end of each scheduled shift, excluding designated breaks and lunch; post-training, adherence to supervisor or team expectations is expected.
• Must reside in the United States and be located in one of the specified states.
• Successful completion of all post-offer processing is required.
