Health Advocate – Outbound Calls, Healthy Outcomes Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +14 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to members and providers throughout the workday.

• Assist members in securing healthcare appointments, screenings, vaccinations, and medication refills.

• Address barriers that may impact members' health.

• Provide a professional and empathetic experience for members.

• Educate members to foster healthy decision-making.

• Discuss benefits related to specific screenings and medications.

• Support health services, medications, and resources aimed at enhancing Star health outcomes.

• Accurately record conversations in members' health records.

• Escalate issues for resolution when necessary.

• Achieve business metrics and objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• Proficient experience with Windows-based applications.

• Minimum of 6 months call center experience.

• High level of computer literacy, including the ability to troubleshoot issues.

• Excellent active listening and interpersonal skills.

• Wired internet connection is required; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not acceptable.

• Preference for bilingual or multilingual candidates.

• Familiarity with pharmacy terminology is preferred.

• Experience in behavior change is preferred.

• Background in call center or outreach work involving members/consumers is preferred.

• Preferred 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment.

• Medical certification, such as a certified nursing assistant or medical assistant, is preferred.

• Experience in a fast-paced work setting is preferred.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection (100–200 Mbps and above) and a suitable remote workspace are preferred.

• Strong professional communication skills are preferred.

• Ability to work independently, apply critical thinking, multitask, prioritize effectively, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and uphold professionalism.
