
Health Advocate – Inbound/Outbound Calls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Make both inbound and outbound calls to members and providers concerning healthcare appointments, screenings, vaccinations, and medication refills.
• Address and resolve barriers that hinder members from achieving optimal health.
• Provide an outstanding member experience through professional and empathetic communication.
• Educate members to empower informed health choices and enhance health outcomes.
• Accurately record conversations in members’ health records.
• Assist Medicare members in understanding and completing vital health screenings and activities.
• Clarify benefits associated with specific screenings and medications.
• Support members and providers with health services, medications, and resources.
• Escalate issues for resolution when necessary.
• Achieve business metrics and goals while working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a call center or outreach role involving members/consumers.
• Dependents must have alternative care arrangements during work hours; continuous care responsibilities during shift times are not allowed.
• Strong professional communication skills.
• Excellent active listening and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of computer literacy, including troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proficient in Windows, web-based applications, and digital communication tools.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and an appropriate remote workspace.
• Hard-wired internet connection to the computer; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not accepted.
• High School Diploma or GED (REQUIRED).
• Capability to set up and utilize multiple monitors and navigate several applications simultaneously.
• Proficient in communicating via email, calendar invites, Teams messaging, and virtual meetings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications or equivalent Google Workspace applications.
• Ability to log in to secure systems such as VPN and EHR portals, lock computer screens, manage strong passwords, and identify suspicious emails or links.
• Capacity to resolve common technical issues independently.
• Must reside and work within the state and city of current residence.
• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are preferred.
• Familiarity with HEDIS screening measures is preferred.
• Experience with behavior change is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
