
Health Advocate – Inbound/Outbound Calls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.
• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to members and healthcare providers about visits, screenings, vaccinations, and medication refills.
• Address obstacles that hinder members from achieving optimal health.
• Provide professional and compassionate experiences for members.
• Educate members to enable informed health choices and enhance outcomes.
• Accurately record discussions in members’ health records.
• Clarify benefits related to specific screenings and medications.
• Support members with health services, medications, and resources to enhance Star health outcomes.
• Escalate issues for resolution when necessary.
• Achieve business metrics and objectives while operating effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in call center or outreach roles involving members or consumers.
• Dependents must have alternative care arrangements during work hours; continuous caregiving responsibilities during shifts are not allowed.
• Excellent professional communication skills.
• Strong active listening and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of computer literacy, including troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Windows, web-based applications, and digital communication tools.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate remote workspace.
• Wired connection to the computer; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not acceptable.
• High School Diploma or GED is REQUIRED.
• Capability to utilize multiple monitors and navigate several applications at once.
• Ability to communicate through email, calendar invites, Teams messaging, and virtual meetings.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications or similar Google Workspace applications.
• Capacity to log into secure systems such as VPN and EHR portals, manage strong passwords, and identify suspicious emails or links.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot common technical issues.
• Quiet, secure, private, designated home workspace that complies with CVS Health and HIPAA regulations.
• Must work within the state and city of current residence.
• Must meet required internet speeds and adhere to Work From Home guidelines.
