Head of Strategy – Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the CEO and act as a strategic partner.

• Oversee company planning, objectives, and the weekly/monthly operational rhythm.

• Ensure that decisions are made, recorded, and implemented; automate processes wherever feasible.

• Manage teams for customer support, product operations, and compliance operations.

• Take ownership of service levels, staffing, tools, and escalation protocols as transaction volume increases.

• Prepare board presentations, investor updates, all-hands materials, and support executive meeting preparations.

• Handle CEO-assigned challenges from start to finish.

• Analyze corridor economics, pricing strategies, partner performance, build-versus-buy analyses, and market entry strategies.

• Collaborate with the product team on prioritization, market sizing, and competitive positioning.

• Link customer feedback from operations with engineering priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategy and operations: business operations, strategy and operations, general management, or a senior generalist position reporting directly to a founder or CEO at a high-growth company.

• Proven track record of executing complex, cross-functional projects.

• Direct experience in managing people within operational teams, including setting service levels and recruitment.

• Strong analytical skills; comfortable utilizing data, employing SQL or equivalent tools, and creating spreadsheet models independently.

• Capability to write board-quality memos and develop sophisticated investor presentations.

• Background in payments, fintech, or cryptocurrency, including knowledge of settlement, foreign exchange, or licensing.

• Comfort in working within regulated environments.

• Experience in a small, fast-paced company and a readiness to engage in hands-on operational tasks.
