Head of Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead the Strategic Finance department and assist the leadership team with both quantitative analyses and qualitative recommendations.

• Oversee the annual budgeting process, forecasting, monthly performance evaluations, headcount planning, and product forecasting.

• Create and implement a comprehensive bottoms-up annual budgeting and headcount planning approach throughout the organization.

• Take ownership of the consolidated operating model and long-term strategic plan.

• Comprehend and advocate for unit economics across various products and regions, including both fiat and cryptocurrency.

• Compile and present company and financial performance in monthly performance reports for the leadership team and the Board of Directors.

• Establish and maintain a budget-versus-actuals review process with the leadership team.

• Develop segment reporting to enhance leadership's visibility into business performance.

• Evaluate financial and operational results to determine overall financial health and performance metrics.

• Collaborate with the Data team to transform Jeeves into a data-driven organization and provide actionable insights to leadership.

• Manage the creation of impactful board and investor presentations in conjunction with the President & CFO.

• Oversee the roadmap for Strategic Finance internal systems and tools.

• Work closely with Finance, Capital Markets, Financial Operations, and Risk teams to integrate the credit portfolio into planning and ensure capital efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in banking or credit investing, followed by 4–8 years in operational roles within dynamic, high-velocity global fintech companies; operational experience is crucial.

• Experience in a balance-sheet business (such as lending, cards, or payments with facilities); pure SaaS Strategic Finance experience is not applicable.

• Proficient in creating agentic automation and workflows using Claude or other models/harnesses for financial analysis, modeling, reporting, and finance workflows.

• Knowledgeable in cryptocurrency/stablecoins or capable of quickly acquiring that knowledge; experience in crypto-adjacent finance is advantageous.

• Personally developed and managed at least one complete budget and planning cycle.

• Proven experience in cultivating and mentoring a team to achieve high performance.

• Ability to excel in entrepreneurial, fast-paced, rapidly changing, hyper-growth environments and adapt swiftly.

• Comfortable presenting in front of a board of directors or institutional investors.

• Capable of building rather than merely maintaining processes, with a player-coach mentality required.
