Head of Retention, Email Marketing, E-Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create retention strategies for a variety of D2C e-commerce brands.

• Provide guidance to clients on email performance, segmentation, and retention initiatives.

• Develop email flows, campaigns, and automations using Klaviyo.

• Strategically employ AI tools to enhance output quality and efficiency.

• Analyze purchasing behavior by cohort and implement sequences for effective segmentation.

• Assess and introduce new retention channels such as WhatsApp, SMS, and loyalty programs.

• Offer functional leadership for the retention department.

• Set standards for flows and campaigns.

• Establish frameworks and processes.

• Operate within client accounts on a day-to-day basis.

• Manage a small retention team.

• Collaborate with a team of over 25 performance and e-commerce specialists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in D2C e-commerce, specifically in email marketing or CRM.

• Preferably, experience with Klaviyo.

• Proficient in analyzing data to enhance campaigns and automations.

• Hands-on experience in reviewing and briefing email copy.

• Experience in coordinating efforts with clients and internal teams.

• Proven ability to build a function in the absence of established frameworks.

• Regular use of AI tools with defined workflows.

• Ideally, experience in WhatsApp marketing, subscription models, or loyalty programs.

• Basic proficiency in the German language will be evaluated in the application form.
