Head of Protective Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Lead and further develop Telia Sweden's security protection program.

• Ensure compliance with applicable security protection legislation and regulatory requirements.

• Drive efforts related to security protection analyses, risk assessments, and governance models.

• Oversee personnel security, including security vetting, background checks, and security awareness.

• Ensure the protection of sensitive and classified security information.

• Manage physical security and safety measures at critical facilities, infrastructure, and operational environments.

• Serve as Telia's primary contact for authorities, customers, and strategic partners regarding security protection issues.

• Lead a team of specialists.

• Support business initiatives and major transformation programs.

• Integrate security requirements throughout the lifecycle of Telia's critical services and assets.

• Drive the development of resilience, preparedness, and crisis management capabilities.

• Act as a strategic advisor to management, providing insights, decision-making support, and expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in security protection, security management, risk management, or similar leadership roles.

• In-depth knowledge of Swedish security protection legislation and established frameworks in security protection.

• Experience in critical infrastructure, telecommunications, public sector, defense industry, or other highly regulated operations.

• Strong understanding of personnel security, physical security, information security, and governance within the security domain.

• Experience with security investigations, risk analyses, and interactions with authorities.

• Strong ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers at senior and executive levels.

• Documented experience in leading, developing, and building high-performing teams.

• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience.

• Experience working with sensitive security information and in classified environments.

• Able to undergo and maintain the security clearance required for the role.

• Certifications in security, risk management, resilience, or governance are advantageous.
