Head of Programmes & Network

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the advancement, prioritization, and coherence of the program portfolio as part of the leadership team.

• Conduct annual and multi-year planning for program and network activities, including setting priorities, resource allocation, and impact objectives.

• Assess political, societal, and funding strategies developments and translate them into concrete program and network decisions.

• Develop and manage a network strategy focused on politics, foundations, associations, sponsors, and key strategic players.

• Establish, maintain, and deepen sustainable alliances for civic climate protection.

• Identify, prioritize, and secure sponsors while taking the lead on funding applications, concepts, and financing strategies.

• Professionally steer program and network work, collaborating closely with Research, Communication, Chief of Staff, and Management.

• Ensure the quality of strategic conclusions, project approaches, and partner collaborations.

• Represent home roots at key events, conferences, and strategic partner meetings.

• Supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team of about 8 colleagues in Public Affairs & Politics, Partnerships & Cooperation, Research & Impact, Media & Communications, and Capacity Building.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in fields such as association work, public affairs, project management, administration/politics, or consulting.

• Proven experience in dealing with high-level decision-makers.

• Experience in organizational development and network building, including coordinating various partners and stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of the political landscape in Germany, particularly within civic-conservative environments.

• Excellent communication skills and a confident presence in political, civil society, and institutional contexts.

• Analytical and forward-thinking mindset.

• Strong general knowledge and professional handling of diverse perspectives.

• High degree of personal responsibility, along with proactive, forward-looking, and reliable work with a builder mindset.

• Team-oriented with enjoyment of a mix of remote work, on-site projects, and nationwide events.

• Proficient in German and English, both spoken and written.

• Willingness to travel regularly for work.
