Head of Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of Sharp Performance's product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

• Develop a product that first responders are eager to use daily.

• Shift product management from being founder-led to a structured, customer-focused approach.

• Harmonize high-quality consumer product design with the practicalities of selling to agencies.

• Conduct field research with police officers and firefighters at their stations, during training, and while accompanying them on calls.

• Convert customer insights into prioritized signals for product development.

• Establish metrics and outcomes to assess whether the product enhances users' service longevity.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, and coaching teams.

• Assess architecture and effort in collaboration with engineering.

• Ensure the roadmap aligns with market demands and user needs.

• Begin as a hands-on player-coach, subsequently hiring, mentoring, and developing the product team.

• Successfully led the development of multiple products through significant growth phases.

• Created products for business customers while upholding the quality standards of exceptional consumer products.

• Possess technical fluency to engage in detailed discussions with engineering and gain their respect.

• Demonstrated customer-centric approach with a willingness to engage in fieldwork with police and firefighters.

• Have the courage to respectfully challenge the CEO when data supports an alternative course of action.

• Ability to navigate from strategic planning to hands-on execution in a dynamic, early-stage company.

• Experience in public safety, government technology, digital health, or human performance is a strong advantage, though not mandatory.
