Head of Infrastructure and DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the DevOps and Infrastructure teams

• Enhance and sustain the technical framework that underpins Smartcat's development, deployment, and operational processes

• Guarantee the availability, scalability, and reliability of both staging and production environments

• Establish and uphold best practices for SRE and DevOps

• Implement stringent CI/CD testing and reviews to prevent production errors related to releases

• Maintain staging infrastructure with an uptime of 99.9%

• Develop resilient systems, disaster recovery plans, and ensure 99.99% product availability

• Accelerate CI/CD pipelines and environments to reduce lead times

• Construct and lead a high-performing engineering team across various regions and time zones

• Enhance hiring processes and offer technical guidance, coaching, and career development

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a rapidly expanding multinational IT company

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps and SRE, managing high-RPS distributed products

• A data-driven mindset with the capability to support decisions using concrete metrics

• Proficient in building relationships with adjacent teams and serving as a liaison between the team and its environment

• Strong hands-on experience in constructing complex CI/CD pipelines

• Background in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Experience with various deployment strategies

• Familiarity with establishing secure development environments

• Practical experience in developing and maintaining large scalable applications in the cloud using AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Exposure to the following tech stack: .NET Core, MongoDB, Vue 2/3, AWS, Kafka, Elasticsearch, GitLab CI, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Jaeger, Kubernetes
