Head of Fleet Maintenance & Repair – DACH

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee all Regional Fleet Managers across 5 DACH Regions, providing indirect supervision of Fleet Managers, Technicians, Damage Detection Experts, and Spare Parts Experts for a fleet of over 4,000 vehicles across more than 40 locations.

• Directly report to the Business Director - DACH while collaborating closely with Regional Operations Managers.

• Manage the Maintenance, Repair, and Fleet Transfer budget.

• Ensure repairs are cost-effective and maintain high-quality standards throughout the market.

• Establish repair strategies for each vehicle based on damage assessments and operational priorities.

• Coordinate workshop capacity, scheduling, and spare parts distribution to ensure vehicle availability.

• Develop and enhance the internal and external workshop network.

• Lead and nurture station fleet teams.

• Monitor key performance indicators related to repair costs, repair duration, and damage detection accuracy.

• Initiate strategic projects aimed at fostering continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in fleet management, maintenance/repair, or workshop management.

• At least 5 years of direct experience in people management, ideally in a technical and operational setting.

• Strong analytical and budgeting capabilities with an emphasis on efficiency and quality.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

• Willingness to travel to internal stations and external vendors within the market.

• Proficient in maintenance or fleet management systems, such as SAP or Oracle.

• Working proficiency in both German and English.

• Eligibility to work in the country of application.
