This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement Guardian’s enterprise financial planning strategy across various channels and client segments.
• Create a protection-focused, comprehensive planning model that combines insurance, retirement, investments, and wealth management.
• Design and enhance the financial planning strategy, framework, governance, workflows, technology platforms, service standards, and decision-making rights.
• Keep track of competitive dynamics, industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving client requirements.
• Create scalable planning models and deliverables for clients and advisors, addressing complex high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) needs.
• Spearhead the evolution and implementation of digital planning capabilities.
• Simplify complex financial concepts and technical expertise into practical tools, frameworks, case designs, and client-friendly recommendations.
• Assess and integrate third-party capabilities.
• Lead the Guardian Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) strategy and team, focusing on thought leadership, case consultation, case design, business development, and sales initiatives.
• Promote estate planning, tax-efficient structures, insurance strategies, and legacy planning solutions.
• Collaborate with advisors, product teams, and internal and external specialists to address complex client needs.
• Establish best practices for planning, advisor enablement programs, training, and coaching strategies.
• Cultivate a planning-first culture that emphasizes client needs, protection, implementation, and long-term relationships.
• Work with Park Avenue Wealth Management and field partners to ensure consistent execution.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications to create internal and external planning content.
• Impact product development, distribution strategy, and executive decision-making by leveraging data-driven insights.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving product, operations, technology, marketing, legal, compliance, and distribution.
• Define metrics and reporting for plan utilization, advisor adoption, planning quality, client outcomes, productivity, and revenue impact.
• Establish accountability and performance management practices.
• Partner with legal and compliance to ensure alignment with regulatory and firm policies.
• Build and manage a high-performing financial planning and advanced-market team.
• Set priorities, operating rhythms, development expectations, and allocate resources effectively.
• Influence senior stakeholders through sound judgment, integrity, collaboration, and high-level communication.
• Over 15 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, financial planning, or a related field, including substantial leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience in leading planning or advice strategy within an insurance, investment, or wealth management organization.
• Demonstrated ability to support complex HNW and UHNW client needs and create scalable models for various client and advisor segments.
• In-depth knowledge of life insurance, annuities, retirement, investments, and protection solutions within holistic financial plans.
• Familiarity with advanced planning concepts and the capability to translate complex technical information into actionable, client- and advisor-friendly solutions.
• Experience in utilizing technology, digital capabilities, data, and performance measures to enhance planning quality, adoption, productivity, and business results.
• Proven track record of leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders across distribution, product, operations, technology, marketing, legal, and compliance.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, communication, judgment, integrity, and collaboration skills.
• A commitment to Guardian’s mission of helping clients protect what matters and achieve long-term financial security.
• FINRA Series 7, 66, 63/65 required.
• Series 24 must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
