Head of Finance – Germany

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Overseeing liquidity planning along with forecasts for revenue, costs, and profits.

• Creating scenarios to aid executive decision-making processes.

• Examining margins and profitability across products, bundles, and categories.

• Keeping track of costs related to goods sold, freight, and marketing.

• Assessing new products, campaigns, and investments in collaboration with E-Commerce, Purchasing, and Marketing teams.

• Setting up monthly management reports and KPI dashboards for cash flow, margins, working capital, and inventory coverage.

• Facilitating cooperation with Accounting and tax advisors.

• Ensuring adherence to deadlines.

• Assisting the executive team during discussions with banks and in financing matters.

• Designing scalable finance structures and processes.

• Potential future leadership of additional team members in the functional area.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience in Finance, commercial management, or Controlling.

• Strong capability in cash flow planning, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Previous experience in a growing e-commerce or retail environment is advantageous.

• Proficient in developing contribution margin and costing models.

• Ability to extract clear, actionable insights for decision-making from financial data.

• Skill in identifying financial opportunities and risks early and crafting scenarios accordingly.

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented work approach.

• Expertise in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Familiarity with ERP or merchandise management systems is a plus.

• Capable of clearly communicating financial relationships and confidently supporting your evaluations.
