Head of Enterprise Architecture – Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold the organization's enterprise technology strategy alongside a multi-year technology roadmap.

• Perform assessments of the technology landscape and analyze platform investment choices, ensuring consistency with business objectives and regulatory standards.

• Define and oversee the target-state enterprise architecture across applications, data, integrations, infrastructure, and security domains.

• Establish architectural standards and integration principles for essential business platforms.

• Lead evaluations of strategic technologies, develop business cases, and initiate transformation projects, including platform modernization and migration efforts.

• Evaluate technology alternatives based on total cost of ownership, business value, scalability, and operational impact.

• Manage key vendor relationships and technology partnerships, which includes contract negotiations, roadmap assessments, and escalation management.

• Propel technology adoption and oversee change management initiatives.

• Provide counsel to senior leadership regarding emerging technologies, market trends, and avenues for gaining competitive advantages.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to address both current and future organizational requirements.

• Work closely with the CTO, technology leaders, and business stakeholders to steer platform decisions and architectural standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in technology leadership, enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or roles focused on digital transformation.

• Demonstrated success in executing large-scale technology transformation, modernization, or migration projects.

• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, systems integration, and technology governance.

• Experience in crafting technology roadmaps that align technical capabilities with business aims.

• Commercially savvy with robust vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

• Capability to assess complex technology alternatives and convey recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities with experience in influencing senior executives and business leaders.

• Exceptional strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in, or knowledge of, regulated industries.

• Familiarity with case management, CRM, finance, Data, Analytics, and AI solutions.

• Knowledge of cloud transformation, enterprise integration patterns, and modern application architectures.

• Experience in developing AI, machine learning, or data-driven business capabilities.

• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Cloud Professional Architect, or similar qualifications.

• Understanding of technology procurement, business case development, and benefits realization.
