This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the commercialization data strategy capability that supports portfolio expansion.
• Establish the roadmap for data acquisition, governance framework, data product strategy, operational rhythms, and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the commercialization data ecosystem to enhance data acquisition, data product management, governance, data quality, business enablement, and usage.
• Develop the architecture for commercialization data, including platform requirements, integration priorities, master data needs, data quality controls, and AI-enablement capabilities.
• Assist the global insights community and teams with data strategy, data acquisition, and capability enhancement.
• Lead the strategy for data acquisition, which encompasses the identification, evaluation, onboarding, rationalization, and lifecycle management of both external and internal data sources.
• Create and uphold commercialization data governance practices, which include definitions, ownership, stewardship, quality standards, metadata management, access rules, privacy and compliance considerations, and issue-resolution processes.
• Develop and oversee a portfolio of commercialization data products that facilitate field execution, access strategies, self-service analytics, AI-enabled use cases, and commercialization decision-making.
• Enhance AI readiness by ensuring that data assets are governed, high-quality, discoverable, documented, interoperable, and suitable for analytical, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Convert commercialization business needs into data requirements, product backlogs, delivery priorities, and adoption strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in patient, HCP, market access, and medical affairs evidence-generation to align data standards, expectations, source strategies, and requirements.
• Promote data fluency and adoption across commercialization teams.
• Manage key relationships with data vendors and partners, including agreements for data acquisition, expectations for data quality, service levels, documentation, and performance management.
• Establish and track metrics of data value, quality, completeness, timeliness, usage, adoption, and readiness for advanced analytics and AI-enabled applications.
• Prioritize investments in data and analytics based on commercialization goals, AI readiness, feasibility, risk, and anticipated business impact.
• Act as a senior data strategy subject matter expert and a trusted advisor to commercialization leaders.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, and DT on data contracts, data rights, privacy issues, and budget management.
• BA or BS degree is required.
• MBA is preferred.
• A minimum of 12–15 years of experience in data strategy, data management, commercialization operations, analytics enablement, business intelligence, or related areas within the biopharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences sectors.
• Proven track record of defining and leading enterprise-scale initiatives in data governance, data acquisition, data products, data platforms, data quality, or AI readiness in collaboration with technology teams.
• Strong analytical skills and systems-thinking capabilities.
• Extensive expertise in commercialization data strategy, data acquisition, data management, data governance, data architecture, data products, and analytics enablement within the biopharmaceutical field.
• Experience in developing reusable data products, data marts, curated datasets, semantic layers, or other reliable data assets.
• A deep understanding of data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, access management, compliance, privacy, and governance foundations.
• Established ability to assess, onboard, manage, and optimize external data vendors, data providers, and implementation partners.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder leadership skills at the executive level.
• Capability to thrive in a hands-on environment while creating structure, standards, and scalable workflows.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to make informed investment trade-offs.
• Ability to promote data fluency, adoption, and behavioral change across business teams.
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical commercialization, data privacy, compliance, regulatory considerations, and the appropriate use of healthcare and commercial data.
• Familiarity with healthcare and pharmaceutical data sources, data providers, analytics platforms, cloud data environments, and data governance tools is preferred.
