This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement Lantern's consultant relations strategy by managing key relationships with major consulting and brokerage houses.
• Inform consultants about Lantern's specialty care value proposition and collect insights to enhance messaging and support.
• Collaborate with Sales and Client Success to identify client growth and expansion opportunities driven by consultants.
• Develop the account ownership model, including metrics, processes, and roles for the consultant relations department.
• Ensure comprehensive account plans and coverage within major consulting and brokerage firms.
• Appropriately route escalations to allow the team to concentrate on proactive relationship management.
• Report performance results against established plans to the Commercial Leadership Team.
• Manage named relationships at both national and local market levels.
• Remain actively involved in live deals alongside Sales and Solutions Consulting teams.
• Create consultant-focused materials in collaboration with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement.
• Educate the market about centers of excellence for surgeries and cancer support.
• Enhance win rates and the quality of opportunities with consulting and brokerage firms.
• Address coverage gaps in Texas/Southeast regions and within public sector/labor segments.
• Build cross-functional relationships with Sales, Solutions Consulting, Client Success, Analytics, Clinical, Marketing, Network, and Member Services.
• Assess relationship health, account coverage, deal outcomes, net ACV growth, escalation load, and the impact of qualified opportunities.
• Over 15 years of professional experience in employer health care benefits, either in health and benefits consulting or in client- or consultant-facing roles within a healthcare solution/vendor.
• Proven management experience with a track record of building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability.
• Established relationships and credibility within one or more of the leading consulting/brokerage firms, preferably from a consultant-facing role.
• Experience in designing or managing a named-account or portfolio-ownership model in a relationship management or sales capacity.
• Capability to influence client and consultant perspectives and decisions with a thoughtful, data-driven approach.
• Background in consultative sales or business development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of self-funded medical plans and the relationships among health plans/third-party administrators, healthcare providers, and plan sponsors.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Comfortable operating in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment; must be organized, adaptable, diligent, and self-motivated.
• A passion for Lantern's mission and a commitment to collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Preferred: 5-10 years of experience as a health and benefits consultant within a top consulting/brokerage firm.
• Preferred: Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with medical claims data to project savings/program impact.
• Preferred: Familiarity with point solutions and healthcare disruptors targeting self-funded employers.
• Preferred: Experience in developing outcome-based performance metrics.
• Preferred: Background in an early or growth-stage business.
