Head of Collections & Asset Recovery, Russian Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for the comprehensive collections and recovery strategy as well as the department's performance.

• Lead and develop the collections team, establish targets, allocate tasks, and ensure consistent implementation.

• Oversee essential KPIs such as collection rates, delinquency levels, and asset recovery.

• Design and continuously enhance strategies for both soft and hard collections.

• Establish customer segmentation, contact schedules, escalation procedures, payment plans, and settlement policies.

• Analyze delinquent portfolios, prioritize high-risk cases, and pinpoint opportunities for improved recoveries.

• Manage equipment repossession and asset recovery processes, including both internal procedures and collaboration with external partners.

• Cultivate relationships with third-party collection agencies and other recovery service providers.

• Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Support, Analytics, and Marketing teams to implement necessary changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2C collections or debt recovery, ideally within the United States, with substantial experience in managing delinquent customers.

• At least 3 years in a leadership role within collections, with accountability for team and portfolio performance.

• In-depth knowledge of soft collections, hard collections, settlements, payment plans, escalation processes, and recovery strategies.

• Proven experience in managing extensive delinquent portfolios through segmentation and data-driven prioritization.

• Strong grasp of collections KPIs and the ability to analyze the factors influencing changes in recovery performance.

• Experience in asset recovery or repossession is highly advantageous.

• Background in working with third-party collection agencies, legal escalation, or fraud/theft cases is a significant advantage.

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making abilities.

• Proficiency in English (C1+ level).

• Knowledge of the Russian language is a plus.

• Must be available during US Eastern Time business hours.
