Head of Collections & Asset Recovery, Russian Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the overall strategy and performance related to collections and recovery within the department.

• Lead and nurture the collections team by setting objectives, allocating tasks, and ensuring uniform execution.

• Be accountable for key performance indicators such as collection rates, delinquency levels, and asset recovery.

• Develop and enhance strategies for both soft and hard collections continuously.

• Establish customer segmentation, contact schedules, escalation procedures, payment plans, and settlement guidelines.

• Assess delinquent portfolios, focus on high-risk cases, and pinpoint opportunities for enhancing recoveries.

• Oversee the repossession of equipment and asset recovery, including both internal processes and external partnerships.

• Cultivate relationships with third-party collection agencies and other recovery service providers.

• Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Support, Analytics, and Marketing teams to implement necessary changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2C collections or debt recovery, ideally within the United States, with substantial experience handling delinquent customers.

• At least 3 years in a leadership role in collections, overseeing a team and managing portfolio performance.

• Comprehensive knowledge of soft collections, hard collections, settlements, payment plans, and recovery strategies.

• Proven experience in managing extensive delinquent portfolios through segmentation and data-driven prioritization.

• Strong grasp of collections KPIs and the ability to analyze the factors influencing changes in recovery performance.

• Experience in asset recovery or repossession is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with third-party collection agencies, legal escalation, or fraud/theft cases is also a significant asset.

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.

• Proficient in English (C1+ level).

• Proficiency in the Russian language is a bonus.

• Must be available during business hours in the US Eastern Time Zone.
