Halal Technical Auditor – Approved, Accredited Halal Certification Body

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits of halal food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic facilities, as well as their supply chains and associated processes.

• Review documentation, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with halal certification standards.

• Evaluate halal management systems and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.

• Create comprehensive audit reports detailing non-conformities, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.

• Relay audit findings to clients and offer guidance on compliance.

• Provide technical assistance in the implementation and enhancement of halal systems.

• Verify the successful execution of corrective actions.

• Ensure that certified organizations consistently adhere to relevant standards.

• Engage in training and professional development to uphold auditing proficiency.

• Work collaboratively with auditors, technical managers, and certification decision-makers.

• Assist in the creation and refinement of audit protocols and certification procedures.

• Travel to domestic and international client locations for on-site audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related discipline.

• Additional certifications in halal auditing (such as lead auditor, FSSC 22000, or equivalent) are highly preferred.

• Previous experience as a halal and/or food quality auditor or in the implementation of halal and/or food safety management systems.

• Thorough understanding of halal principles, dietary laws, and production requirements.

• Knowledge of halal and food safety standards, including GSO, OIC/SMIIC, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, and FSSC 22000.

• Familiarity with halal production processes, supply chain management, and regulatory guidelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients.

• High attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.

• Proficient in report writing and documentation.

• Ethical and unbiased, with a dedication to the integrity of the certification process.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.

• Willingness to travel frequently to client sites, including remote or rural areas.
