Haitian Creole - French VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry of interpretation, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Convey all messages precisely and comprehensively, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest quality of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm in obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Follow the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language 'Haitian Creole'.

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an added advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and demonstrate tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
