This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee all quality activities on-site and ensure adherence to contractual, regulatory, and company quality standards.
• Create, execute, and sustain Site Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Evaluate work procedures and method statements for conformity with project specifications and best practices.
• Organize and take part in site inspections, testing, audits, and monthly quality evaluations.
• Act as the primary quality contact on-site for customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Manage non-conformances, deviations, snag lists, corrective actions, and follow-up quality activities.
• Confirm that incoming materials and equipment comply with approved submittals and project specifications, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Ensure that quality records, inspection reports, turnover documentation, and closeout packages are thorough and compliant.
• Promote lessons learned, continuous improvement, and site quality awareness through effective communication and training.
• Collaborate with site leadership to halt work when safety or quality issues affect compliance or project execution.
• Coordinate and report on site quality activities and associated quality interfaces.
• Maintain effective communication and alignment with clients, project teams, subcontractors, quality engineers, and site managers.
• Schedule and perform site audits based on contractual obligations and customer requirements.
• Work alongside site contractors to ensure tasks are comprehended and executed in line with local and city/state regulations.
• Collaborate with the Site Manager to ensure work is completed on schedule with the necessary checks and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related technical field; preference for Electrical Engineering.
• Equivalent experience in field leadership will also be taken into account.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in site quality, site management, commissioning, construction, or project execution in utility, substation, HV, EPC, or industrial contexts.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing Site Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans for high-voltage or turnkey projects.
• Strong foundation in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Management Systems.
• Experience leading quality initiatives in the field and engaging directly with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Practical knowledge of electrical construction, commissioning, substation installation, or related infrastructure projects.
• Thorough understanding of safety, EHS, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) regulations on customer sites.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, document control systems, NCR management tools, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% throughout North America.
• Preferred experience in EPC project quality leadership.
• Preferred background in supporting substation upgrades, expansions, or new construction projects.
• Experience with internal or second-party audits is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 audits is preferred.
• Relevant field certifications such as OSHA 30, Journeyman, Master Electrician, or similar qualifications are preferred.
• PMP certification or substantial site/project management experience is a plus.
• Strong communicator with confidence in customer-facing situations.
• Proven leadership and coordination skills in fast-paced field settings.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and follow-through capabilities.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to balance quality, schedule, and site execution priorities.
