GSI Project Site Quality Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all site quality initiatives and guarantee adherence to contractual, regulatory, and company quality standards.

• Formulate, execute, and uphold Site Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

• Assess work procedures and method statements to ensure they align with project specifications and best practices.

• Organize and take part in site inspections, testing, audits, and monthly quality evaluations.

• Act as the main quality liaison on-site with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.

• Handle non-conformances, deviations, snag lists, corrective actions, and ongoing quality follow-up efforts.

• Confirm that incoming materials and equipment comply with approved submittals and project specifications, including proper handling and storage.

• Ensure quality documentation, inspection reports, turnover documents, and closeout packages are complete and adhere to compliance standards.

• Promote lessons learned, continuous improvement, and site quality awareness through effective communication and training.

• Collaborate with site leadership to halt work when safety or quality concerns affect compliance or project execution.

• Coordinate and provide updates on site quality activities and related quality interactions.

• Maintain ongoing communication and alignment with clients, project teams, subcontractors, quality engineers, and site managers.

• Plan and conduct site audits based on contractual obligations and client requirements.

• Work alongside site contractors to ensure tasks are comprehended and executed according to local and state regulations.

• Collaborate with the Site Manager to ensure work is completed as scheduled with the necessary checks and documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related technical field; Electrical Engineering preferred.

• Equivalent field leadership experience will also be considered.

• More than 5 years of experience in site quality, site management, commissioning, construction, or project execution in utility, substation, HV, EPC, or industrial settings.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing Site Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans for high-voltage or turnkey projects.

• Strong foundation in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Management Systems.

• Experience leading quality activities in the field and engaging directly with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Familiarity with electrical construction, commissioning, substation installation, or similar infrastructure projects.

• Solid understanding of safety, EHS, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols on customer sites.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, document control systems, NCR management tools, SAP, or comparable systems.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Willingness to travel up to 90% across North America.

• Preference for candidates with experience in EPC project quality leadership.

• Background in supporting substation upgrades, expansions, or new construction projects preferred.

• Previous internal or second-party audit experience preferred.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 audits preferred.

• Relevant field credentials such as OSHA 30, Journeyman, Master Electrician, or similar certifications preferred.

• PMP certification or extensive site/project management experience is advantageous.

• Strong communicator with confidence in customer interactions.

• Demonstrated leadership and contractor coordination skills in fast-paced field environments.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and follow-through.

• Hands-on approach with the capability to balance quality, schedule, and site execution priorities.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, as applicable.
