Group Program Director, Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead the Delivery function for a portfolio of clients and/or a significant account

• Establish strategic direction for delivery while ensuring the health, growth, and performance of the portfolio

• Manage and mentor Delivery staff ranging from Associates to Senior Directors

• Foster product and digital transformation expertise throughout the team

• Act as a senior escalation point for both clients and internal leadership

• Oversee excellence in delivery across client portfolios and major accounts

• Lead and assign responsibilities for business reviews of scopes; assess budgets and contracts

• Define and steer resolution paths for account and project challenges

• Engage with clients in steering and escalation roles, facilitating issue resolution and account growth

• Collaborate with Resource Management and Recruiting to address project staffing and future resource needs

• Work alongside Client Engagement and Business Development to achieve growth objectives and pinpoint investment opportunities

• Evaluate project health on a weekly basis with portfolio leadership and account/project leads

• Develop and facilitate team training, performance evaluations, and growth strategies

• Participate in new business proposals and rationalize staffing, delegation, budget, and scope plans

• Identify and implement process and tooling enhancements, including innovations powered by AI

• Advocate for the Delivery discipline while leading change and continuous improvement initiatives

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in program/delivery management, with extensive knowledge in product and digital transformation delivery

• Proven ability to nurture and enhance product and digital transformation expertise within a team

• Change-agent mindset with a history of driving process and tooling improvements at the departmental or agency level

• Experience utilizing AI to enhance productivity and drive innovation

• Demonstrated experience managing scope, estimation, and budget integrity for complex, high-value projects

• Experienced in serving as a trusted escalation point for clients and senior internal stakeholders

• Strong financial acumen, encompassing revenue planning, investment decisions, and account health

• Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and developing Delivery team members from Associates to Senior Directors

• Experience in conducting performance reviews and planning for growth

• Knowledge of various project management methodologies and the ability to adapt strategies accordingly

• Strong technical aptitude with the capability to translate technical complexities into actionable delivery plans

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, effective communication, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder influence

• Experience contributing to new business proposals
