This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the guiding vision - articulate and share the strategic direction for your product(s). Utilize market intelligence, customer insights, and data analytics to formulate a multi-year product roadmap and initiatives (products and services) that ensure our market leadership, differentiate us from competitors, and create significant impact at scale.
• Innovate teaching and learning - consistently identify opportunities to deliver real-world value in novel ways, significantly saving teachers time, broadening their reach, enhancing their understanding of each student, and improving student outcomes through new initiatives.
• Lead strategic planning - define OKRs for your product(s) and ensure accountability for achieving them. Guide your team through annual product planning (research initiatives, prioritization, estimation, release plans) and communicate results to your team and the wider organization. Develop team models, critically evaluate cross-functional staffing plans, and advocate for resource optimization to meet business objectives.
• Achieve commercial success - enhance commercial performance for your product(s). Collaborate with leadership on P&L objectives and investment strategies. Establish competitive pricing, manage budgets, define the distribution model, and oversee supply chain decisions, scaling, and performance targets to meet gross margin goals. Take ownership of projects throughout the stage gate process, ensuring adherence to approved project scopes and timely, quality product delivery. Foster adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth for your product(s).
• Prioritize user experience - engage regularly with customers (through sales ride-alongs, strategic account support, user research) to gain a deep understanding of their needs, convert these insights into product priorities, and advocate for users throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Monitor market dynamics and competition - actively research market trends and industry developments. Understand competitor offerings (both established and emerging) and devise strategies to outperform them. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of state-level curriculum standards, intervention requirements, and relevant legislative trends, collaborating with Content to translate these into actionable product concepts.
• Ensure high-quality execution at scale - oversee products from conception through launch and iterations, balancing innovation with speed, achieving product-market fit, and ensuring smooth delivery across numerous classrooms.
• Formulate the go-to-market strategy - collaborate with Marketing and Sales to develop a tactical plan for how a product will be launched in the market, reach its intended customers, and secure a competitive advantage. Identify and prepare the various resources needed prior to commercial launch to build a pipeline and drive success.
• Influence cross-functionally - collaborate across engineering, design, marketing, research, and curriculum partners, ensuring alignment, clarity, and progress even in complex environments. Be the primary contact for your product(s) among internal stakeholders, partners, and customers.
• Mentor a high-performing team of product managers - lead and guide a team of product managers, nurturing a culture of customer focus, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Enhance external visibility - assess partnership opportunities and engage in external activities that promote Amplify’s brand and thought leadership.
• 8–10+ years of experience in a high-growth environment alongside 5 years of progressively responsible managerial experience, successfully leading teams of product managers.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, or a combination of education and direct experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in startups and growth environments - you thrive in fast-paced settings where priorities can change rapidly and ownership is key.
• Demonstrated product leadership - managing the entire lifecycle of complex products, aligning stakeholders, and scaling solutions for large markets.
• Strong execution skills and strategic thinking - balancing user needs, business opportunities, and technical innovation while ensuring teams remain focused on outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and influence skills - capable of inspiring teams, simplifying complexity, and making confident, sound decisions.
• Proficient in AI - hands-on experience with building or integrating AI/ML systems, allowing you to collaborate effectively with researchers and engineers from the outset to shape strategy, assess opportunities, and launch AI-enhanced experiences.
• Background in education/ed-tech or consumer technology is advantageous but not mandatory.
