Group Financial Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Prepare the monthly group consolidation.

• Generate consolidation journals and assess consolidated figures for precise reporting.

• Lead the closing process progressively and ensure compliance with the month-end schedule.

• Offer technical accounting assistance across the finance department utilizing IFRS expertise and research abilities.

• Create notes and supporting documentation for the group annual report.

• Deliver clear and timely information to auditors.

• Engage in audit testing and provide comprehensive responses to minimize follow-up inquiries.

• Acquire knowledge and become a lead user of Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close, PeopleSoft Financials, IRIS Accounts Production, and MI systems.

• Assist other finance teams in the effective use of finance systems.

• Manage several UK and international corporate entities.

• Authorize month-end journals.

• Supervise financial statements for UK companies.

• Collaborate with overseas advisors on international financial statements.

• Guide professional advisors to produce high-quality financial statements while meeting local statutory reporting deadlines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Qualified accountant – ACA / CA / ACCA.

• Strong technical accounting abilities, including up-to-date IFRS knowledge and research skills.

• Solid understanding of multinational consolidation.

• Capable of quickly grasping finance systems.

• Dedicated to maintaining excellent financial control.

• Audit experience – either as an auditor or a primary audit contact.

• A proactive, highly organized self-starter with the capacity to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.

• Tenacious with exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills.

• Flexible, collaborative, and open-minded approach.

• Sole British national.

• British citizen or resident in the UK for the past 5 years to fulfill security-clearance residency requirements.

• All PA personnel are required to undergo background checks and achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard.

• Some UK positions may necessitate higher levels of National Security Vetting.
