Group Finance Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the financial strategy, statutory reporting, and financial governance throughout the Group.

• Provide financial insights and control to the Group Leader and BU Managing Directors.

• Collaborate on a dotted-line basis with the Portfolio CFO for the Eskenazi Portfolio.

• Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning across all four businesses.

• Manage the Group's Quarterly Strategic Review process, which includes sales pipeline and cost analysis, forecast development, and identifying improvement opportunities.

• Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing ROIC, managing working capital, and improving growth performance; provide advice on market conditions and pricing for deals.

• Oversee consolidated statutory reporting and Group-level financial performance reporting to Modaxo Finance.

• Manage internal and statutory audits for all business units.

• Ensure adherence to local statutory and tax laws, IFRS 15 revenue recognition, and project accounting standards.

• Maintain a uniform chart of accounts and a consistent reporting calendar.

• Establish and uphold the financial control framework.

• Identify, track, and mitigate financial and commercial risks; review bid and contract terms.

• Approve and oversee capital expenditures and investment proposals.

• Escalate significant financial risks to relevant stakeholders within the Group, Portfolio, and Modaxo.

• Directly manage the Group Financial Controller and serve as the escalation point for finance-related decisions.

• Partner with BU Managing Directors and Finance Heads.

• Enhance finance capabilities and establish consistent operational procedures across the Group.

• Assist with acquisition due diligence and lead the financial integration of newly acquired businesses, including finance resources, systems, processes, and KPI education.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven finance leader with a history of managing financial control and reporting across various businesses or entities.

• Ideally possess experience in a multi-entity or private equity-backed group structure that spans multiple countries.

• Hold a qualification as an accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

• Extensive experience in a senior finance leadership role across multiple business units or legal entities.

• Demonstrated ability to handle statutory reporting, external audits, and IFRS 15 revenue recognition across more than one jurisdiction.

• Experience in building and leading a finance function, including direct management of a Financial Controller.

• Strong understanding of financial control frameworks and risk management practices.

• Comfortable working autonomously and holding the Group Leader and BU Managing Directors accountable for financial matters.

• Desirable: experience in a software, technology, or B2G/B2B services business.

• Desirable: experience with integrating newly acquired businesses into a Group finance function.

• Desirable: experience working across Portugal, Italy, the UK, and/or Israel.
