This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +4 more countries.
• Report directly to the CEO.
• Lead the Group Paralegal and compliance teams integrated within CXM Group companies.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance reporting framework for the entire group.
• Establish reporting structures, schedules, and escalation protocols for all regulated entities.
• Create a searchable, indexed, and cross-referenced AI-enabled legal document repository.
• Define and operationalize internal legal service-level agreements.
• Monitor contract review, drafting, and policy workflow service-level agreements.
• Implement legal and compliance risk monitoring tools for FX, CFDs, crypto, prediction markets, prop trading, and education.
• Lead the acquisition of a South African broker-dealer and achieve UAE VARA licensing milestones.
• Manage MiCA passporting and prospective acquisitions in LATAM and Southeast Asia.
• Supervise inbound and outbound legal and compliance communications.
• Track online brand visibility and regulatory risk indicators.
• Conduct research on legislation, regulatory guidance, and enforcement trends in target jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT to develop compliance reporting systems and dashboards.
• Audit, organize, index, and maintain the group’s legal agreements.
• Act as the primary contact for regulators across various jurisdictions.
• Prepare regulatory responses and coordinate meetings and visits with regulators.
• Personally manage high-stakes agreements that are novel or involve regulators.
• Proven expertise in tier-one regulatory frameworks: CySEC, FCA, NFA, and ASIC.
• Familiarity with offshore and emerging market regulations: UAE, Mauritius, Seychelles, SVG, and Cambodia.
• Working knowledge of MiCA and global crypto licensing frameworks.
• Established credibility and proficiency in direct engagement with regulators.
• Capability to manage regulatory inquiries and coordinate responses across different jurisdictions.
• Ability to assist with acquisition structuring and entity integration from a compliance standpoint.
• Experience in assessing regulatory risks and collaborating with external legal counsel.
• Proficiency in managing concurrent licensing processes.
• Experience utilizing AI tools in legal workflows is a significant advantage.
• Ability to establish standards, delegate effectively, and ensure teams are accountable for their performance.
• Typically, a decade of experience in multi-jurisdictional environments to cultivate essential competencies.
• Genuine architectural ownership across six asset classes and a variety of jurisdictions.
• Direct access to the CEO.
• Active involvement in licensing and M&A deal pipelines.
• First-mover advantage in AI-enhanced legal operations.
• Group-wide authority over compliance personnel across CXM Group entities.
• Fully remote position; no need for relocation or commuting.
• Occasional travel for meetings with regulators and regional teams.
