This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Enhance Center Store sales by implementing effective shelf management and utilizing selling tools in AWG member stores.
• Promote new items, conversions, void filling, and optimal shelf placement across the AWG Center Store portfolio to members.
• Carry out category shelf work as per the established planogram.
• Support new store tagging and resets.
• Achieve monthly focus objectives that include introducing new items, conversions, addressing distribution voids, and leveraging promotional opportunities, pallets, and shippers.
• Collaborate with brokers and vendors on store resets, new store openings, remodels, equipment installations, and shelving projects.
• Propose category layouts and shelf allocations, focusing on AWG Brands and HGS.
• Offer placement insights and recommendations based on customer assortments and planogram decisions.
• Recommend products, product lines, and promotional activities; analyze slow-moving items to stimulate orders.
• Take responsibility for sales figures within the designated territory.
• Assist in training members on AWG Center Store retail programs.
• Provide merchandising concepts and support for end caps, supplemental ads, digital coupons, and demo programs.
• Complete necessary territory reporting for the Center Store Sales Manager.
• Travel 60–80%, including some overnight stays.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Grocery Industry.
• Background in Marketing/Sales.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• Strong merchandising skills.
• Proficient in using tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, power drills, and saws.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Daily travel and overnight stays are necessary.
• Capacity to lift 40 lbs. or more.
• Ability to bend, stand, and sit for extended periods.
• Comprehensive understanding of the retail grocery industry.
• Sales experience with Key Accounts.
• Experience in managing personnel.
• Outstanding communication skills with all tiers of retail management.
• Keen attention to detail and effective time management abilities.
• Fact-based decision-making capabilities supported by sales data.
• Self-driven and capable of achieving established goals with minimal supervision.
• Strong relationship-building abilities with AWG Divisional Leadership and Key Equity Groups.
• Highly adaptable, managing various tasks while meeting multiple deadlines.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
