Grid Interconnection Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Assist in daily load interconnection activities with TDSPs/ERCOT for both new and ongoing development initiatives from site selection to implementation.

β€’ Prepare applications for interconnection and keep track of study timelines, associated costs, and deliverables.

β€’ Manage interconnection agreements.

β€’ Aid in supervising consultants and reviewing utility schedules as well as cost estimates.

β€’ Build and maintain professional relationships with utilities, ISOs, and industry stakeholders.

β€’ Keep detailed notes from meetings and follow-up trackers for public stakeholder sessions, including WMS, ROS, and PUC workshops.

β€’ Update and maintain the interconnection database for renewable assets.

β€’ Assist in providing project modeling inputs related to interconnection expenses and TDSP timeline risks.

β€’ Contribute to the preparation of stakeholder assessment materials and identify key project requirements.

β€’ Monitor and help resolve any issues hindering project advancement, particularly those related to the interconnection queue and market-rule compliance.

β€’ Organize weekly check-ins for IPPs and maintain the relevant documentation.

β€’ Support commercial activities by delivering pertinent project interconnection information.

β€’ Report directly to the Director of Grid Integration and collaborate with the Power and Project Development teams.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ 1–3 years of experience in the energy, utilities, or data center infrastructure sectors.

β€’ Familiarity with ERCOT or large load interconnection is highly advantageous.

β€’ Knowledge of TDSP interconnection processes and ERCOT market regulations, or a strong willingness to learn rapidly.

β€’ Capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy.

β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

β€’ Capability to synthesize technical and regulatory information effectively.

β€’ Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data management.

β€’ Comfort with data sets is an added benefit.

β€’ Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to work.

β€’ A degree in Engineering, Management, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
