This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Develop and update illustrations, charts, diagrams, infographics, and various visual assets for CFA Institute curriculum products in both print and digital formats.
• Transform quantitative data, graphs, and numerical concepts into clear, precise, and learner-centric visuals.
• Utilize Adobe Illustrator for creating visuals and Adobe InDesign for layout, templates, and production needs.
• Work collaboratively with learning designers, subject matter experts, editors, and stakeholders to ensure effective visual representation.
• Prepare production-ready files that comply with specifications, templates, style guides, and brand standards.
• Conduct quality checks on typography, color, resolution, and file formats, resolving routine production challenges as needed.
• Provide guidance on design standards, fonts, templates, and the design needs of the department.
• Keep design files, templates, and asset libraries organized while enhancing processes and documentation.
• Consider legal and risk factors in visual content, including responsible use of AI.
• Occasionally travel for in-person divisional and departmental meetings.
• Robust graphic design portfolio; submission of portfolio is mandatory during the recruitment process.
• Proficient skills in Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong capabilities in Adobe InDesign.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop.
• Ability to effectively represent quantitative information using charts, graphs, and other visual formats.
• Solid understanding of graphic design principles, including typography, composition, color, hierarchy, and iconography.
• Knowledge of print and digital production requirements, including file formats, resolution, and production-ready assets.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage deliverables and adhere to deadlines within established standards and review processes.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for significant in-person meetings, approximately 5% or less.
• A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be taken into account.
