This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee and manage award funds and accounts.
• Offer budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight services.
• Evaluate expenditures for compliance, allocability, and appropriateness.
• Relay grant terms and conditions to project teams, emphasizing adherence to regulations.
• Navigate research administration systems while assisting faculty and staff in their usage.
• Anticipate and proactively meet the needs of researchers.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Handle significant discussions regarding policy, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Operate independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with the broader team.
• Effectively and professionally manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Engage in regular feedback and development discussions with supervisors.
• Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Over 3 years of professional work experience.
• Capability to interpret and apply federal and non-federal regulations to sponsored projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and the skill to interpret and apply complex policies and regulations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to professionally engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in research administration systems.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Competence to perform under pressure with assurance.
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues for senior-level candidates.
• Preferred senior-level qualifications include: over 3 years in higher education grants management; familiarity with eRA systems, sponsor systems, compliance, and regulatory requirements; Certified Research Administrator (CRA) credential; experience in mentoring or training junior staff; graduate-level coursework in financial accounting or related disciplines.
