This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assist grantees and internal teams throughout the entire grants management cycle, from invitation to final closeout.
β’ Create and maintain contact, organization, and grant accounts and records.
β’ Monitor and follow up on narrative and financial reports as well as any outstanding documentation.
β’ Assess grantee organization eligibility and facilitate due diligence processes.
β’ Offer technical support to both staff and grantees using the Fluxx grants management system.
β’ Help train staff and grantees on technology, policies, and procedures.
β’ Develop templates and tools for ongoing grants management activities.
β’ Assist in coordinating the grants management team.
β’ Generate dashboards and analyze grant-data reports for staff and external stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with the grants management team, program leads, and external partners to ensure grantmaking and reporting timelines are adhered to.
β’ Aid in the preparation of materials for boards, committees, and strategic partnerships.
β’ Carry out other assigned duties and responsibilities.
β’ At least three years of professional experience, with some background in the nonprofit sector.
β’ Strong expertise in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive).
β’ Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom).
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
β’ Strong project management capabilities.
β’ Experience in tracking, coordinating, and assisting in the completion of complex collaborative projects.
β’ Highly collaborative with a partnership-focused mindset.
β’ Resourceful and entrepreneurial, demonstrating proactive and innovative problem-solving skills.
β’ Dedication to racial justice and equity.
β’ Experience in a philanthropic organization, fiscal sponsor, nonprofit intermediary, funder collaborative, or similar grantmaking entity, or equivalent.
β’ Proven success in operating within a start-up environment.
β’ Knowledge of grants management systems and procedures; experience with Fluxx is preferred.
β’ Understanding of the financial and regulatory landscape for nonprofit and philanthropic organizations.
β’ Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
β’ Appreciation for the diverse cultural traditions of rural communities.
β’ Comfort in engaging with individuals from nonprofit organizations, government, foundations, and the private sector.
β’ Proficiency in a second language spoken in rural America.
β’ Prior experience living and/or working in rural America is highly preferred.
β’ Ability to work remotely from within the United States.
