Graduate Journalist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, write, and publish precise and timely news articles for FlightGlobal.com.

• Assist in the creation of features and analysis for Flight International and other editorial products.

• Keep track of developments in the airline, defense, and aerospace industries, including earnings reports, regulatory updates, and company announcements.

• Perform interviews with executives, analysts, and various industry stakeholders.

• Aid in live reporting from significant industry events and air shows.

• Generate concepts for multimedia content, such as newsletters, podcasts, and digital features.

• Engage in social media activities and enhance audience interaction within the designated coverage area.

• Maintain the highest standards of editorial integrity, accuracy, fairness, and balance.

• Collaborate with seasoned editors and reporters.

⛳️ Requirements

• A recent graduate with a degree in journalism, communications, media, political science, business, aerospace, or a related discipline.

• Exceptional written English skills with a keen attention to detail.

• A clear interest in aviation, aerospace, defense, or business journalism.

• Capability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom setting.

• Strong research abilities and confidence in handling data, financial information, and corporate reports.

• A professional curiosity and the confidence to pose insightful questions.

• A collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Previous internship experience, journalism experience, or published work is advantageous, but not mandatory.
