Grad Intern – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Amgen’s financial leadership during a summer program spanning 10–13 weeks.

• Undertake a significant project aligned with Amgen’s strategic and tactical objectives.

• Enhance technical and financial competencies while preparing a presentation for the broader finance organization.

• Gain insights into the functional finance team's role and its impact on Amgen’s success.

• Potential placements in Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, Corporate Audit, and Corporate Services.

• Work alongside fellow interns in a week-long multidisciplinary case study competition.

• Investigate the use of data, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, controls, and decision-making.

• Conduct analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends, generate insights, and provide recommendations to business partners.

• Engage in meetings, networking opportunities, and career development events with Amgen executives and senior leaders.

• Build connections with colleagues throughout the company and join Employee Resource Groups.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be available for full-time work.

• Expected to continue enrollment in an accredited college or university after the internship program / co-op.

• Student must be residing in the United States for the entire duration of the internship program.

• Must be open to accepting and committing to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must have graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Currently enrolled in an MBA, Master’s, PharmD, or Ph.D. program from an accredited college or university, having completed the first year prior to the internship’s commencement.

• Concentration in Economics, Business Administration, Biotechnology Management, Accounting, or Finance.

• Familiarity with basic financial analytical concepts.

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues on complex tasks.

• Previous work experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sectors.

• Thoughtful cover letter demonstrating interest in the role and relevance of experience.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program.

• Future sponsorship for full-time employment roles is not guaranteed.
