This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

šŸ“‹ Description

• Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for federal contracts on a daily basis.

• Evaluate procurement activities, performance work statement (PWS) requirements, contractual clauses, deliverables, and contract documentation to mitigate compliance, performance, and documentation risks.

• Provide guidance to contracting, program, technical, legal, and government stakeholders regarding contract formation, management, modifications, claims, disputes, and resolution of issues.

• Assist in preventing and responding to bid protests by analyzing procurement documents, evaluation records, source selection materials, and contract language.

• Assess risks associated with contracts, identify compliance gaps, and address investigations, litigation-sensitive issues, and procedural concerns.

• Suggest practical corrective measures to avert escalation of issues.

• Prepare, update, and maintain reports, briefings, trackers, procedures, and audit-ready documentation for customer review and leadership decision-making.

• Serve as a Government Legal Procurement SME for a federal government agency.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• Must be capable of obtaining and retaining an active Public Trust Clearance.

• Must be a United States citizen.

• Senior-level experience in supporting U.S. Government procurement, federal contracting, defense, construction, logistics, ship repair, RDT&E, or military construction initiatives.

• Strong expertise in contract formation, contract management, requirements documentation, PWS review, contract clauses, and performance-based requirements.

• Experience in advising contracting professionals, program leadership, government clients, or senior executives on intricate contract actions and compliance issues.

• Familiarity with fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, time-and-materials, IDIQ, and requirements contracts.

• Background in managing contract disputes, claims, bid protests, investigations, litigation coordination, or sensitive/high-profile matters.

• Knowledge of fiscal law, government ethics, FOIA/Privacy Act, administrative law, and federal compliance standards.

• Proficient in drafting and reviewing briefings, reports, procedures, contract documents, clauses, trackers, and deliverables.
