This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Request financial and additional information from Relationship Managers or borrowers to refresh credit files.
• Analyze updated business and personal financial statements and conduct stand-alone or global cash-flow assessments.
• Draft annual servicing memoranda following established protocols.
• Forward servicing memoranda and original credit approval memoranda to the SBA Credit Administrator.
• Follow up on inquiries and outstanding items with servicing managers, relationship managers, borrowers, and the SBA Credit Administrator.
• Submit risk-rating modifications through the bank's tracking system.
• Review the SBA 7(A) past-due report weekly with the SBA Credit Administrator.
• Keep monthly work logs for management oversight.
• Inform the SBA Credit Administrator about compliance with annual-servicing metrics.
• Support the SBA administrative team with credit-related servicing-memo tasks.
• Reconcile 1502 reports and manage the master servicing list.
• Complete CLAR loans biannually.
• Conduct borrower site visits as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with employees and customers, assist marketing initiatives, and fulfill other management-directed responsibilities.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
• A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting is recommended.
• Familiarity with SBA SOPs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Understanding of personal computers, Windows, and Microsoft software applications.
• Ability to prepare documents and draft business letters and memoranda.
• Strong knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation.
• Awareness of office practices, procedures, and general office machinery.
• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to perform well and maintain composure under pressure.
• Willingness to regularly assist coworkers and customers.
• Must maintain a secure, distraction-free home office and a dependable private internet connection for telecommuting.
• Compliance with SouthState Bank credit policies, procedures, underwriting standards, regulatory requirements, and training protocols is mandatory.
• Ability to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations.
• Capability to bend and reach; position requires extensive computer usage.
• Travel may be necessary for meetings as required.
• Secure home office environment required for telecommuting roles.
• Reliable private internet connection; cable or fiber preferred.
• Access to a cooled and heated facility's break room or restroom during breaks.
