Governance and Reporting Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Assist CMS in managing its enterprise AI platform with a focus on visibility and governance.

• Establish monitoring systems, metrics, and dashboards utilizing Datadog and cloud-native tools.

• Develop automated pipelines for governance and performance analytics.

• Define and implement usage, access, and operational guidelines.

• Employ Terraform, Ansible, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD for governance and reporting purposes.

• Collaborate with engineering, security, and CMS stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, platform, or systems engineering.

• Strong skills in AWS and DevOps.

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.

• Experience with CI/CD practices.

• Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of observability and reporting tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk, or similar platforms.

• Scripting and automation skills in Python or Bash.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

• Acceptable outcomes from a background investigation.

• Experience in platform governance or FinOps is advantageous.

• Understanding of FISMA, RMF, ARS, or IS2P2 governance is a plus.

• Prior experience supporting CMS or another federal agency is a plus.
