This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.

📋 Description

• Engage in construction projects in a utility role, shifting between tasks as needed.

• Load and unload tools or raw materials as required.

• Assemble scaffolding and other necessary equipment.

• Utilize air bags for lifting pipes in storage racks.

• Cut, strip, and apply insulation on piping systems.

• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.

• Operate independently without close supervision and fulfill the role without supervisory duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is preferred, or GED equivalent.

• At least one (1) year of directly related remote experience in the construction or oil & gas sectors.

• Experience with insulation blankets and sewing in the construction field is required.

• A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the last three (3) years to qualify under the company vehicle insurance policy.

• Must successfully complete a 40-hour OSHA Asbestos Mitigation course.

• Must pass a fit test to wear a respirator.

• Capability to read and understand safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

• Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence, and able to effectively communicate with groups of customers or employees.

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to apply common sense to execute detailed written or verbal instructions and address issues involving a few concrete variables in standard contexts.

• Capable of working independently without close supervision.

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.

• Ability to work in extreme cold, outdoor weather conditions, at heights and precarious locations, as well as around moving mechanical parts, in wet/humid conditions, and in environments with fumes or airborne particles.
