Global Solutions Engineer

📋 Description

• Act as the lead Solutions Engineer for Sophos’ global MSSP program and strategic partner opportunities.

• Facilitate technical discovery, solution design, architecture workshops, demonstrations, and proofs of value in collaboration with MSSP partners.

• Assist partners in designing and scaling managed security services utilizing Sophos Fusion and the comprehensive Sophos cybersecurity portfolio.

• Provide guidance to partners on service architecture, integrations, automation, operational readiness, and consistent service delivery.

• Serve as a global subject matter expert for Sophos AI security solutions, including AI Defense and upcoming AI offerings.

• Conduct demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of value to assess AI security risks and solutions.

• Develop practical AI security demos, lab environments, attack simulations, and consistent technical evaluation methodologies.

• Share insights from the field and market with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams.

• Create reusable technical assets, enablement materials, service blueprints, and best practices ready for the field.

• Mentor Sales Engineers, partner engineers, and other technical stakeholders.

• Represent Sophos during customer briefings, partner events, webinars, technical communities, and industry forums.

• Establish trusted-advisor relationships with partners, customers, security leaders, and technical decision-makers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Security Architecture, security consulting, MSSP engineering, or a similar customer-facing cybersecurity role.

• Experience in supporting MSSP sales, partner engagements, service architecture, or the development of managed security services.

• Strong understanding of MDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, endpoint security, cloud security, threat detection, incident response, and security integrations.

• In-depth knowledge of MSSP business and technical models.

• Comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence, generative AI systems, AI application architectures, and AI security risks.

• Proven hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, integrating, operating, and troubleshooting cybersecurity products and tools.

• Experience in building labs, demonstrations, workshops, proofs of value, and technical validation environments.

• Proficiency in working with APIs, automation, cloud platforms, modern application architectures, Linux and Windows environments, networking, identity systems, and security telemetry.

• Exceptional skills in technical discovery, consultative selling, presentation, storytelling, demonstration, and written communication.

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical engagements across multiple regions.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across North America and internationally.

• Nice-to-have: experience in SOC, security engineering, incident response, or cybersecurity leadership roles.

• Nice-to-have: scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, APIs, or similar tools.

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with cloud AI platforms, AI agents, model APIs, local or private models, open-source AI technologies, containers, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps.

• Nice-to-have: relevant certifications in cybersecurity, cloud, architecture, or AI.

• Nice-to-have: experience with Sophos technologies.
