Global Resolution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main escalation point for intricate networking, fabric design, connectivity, and performance challenges in WEKA deployments.

• Diagnose Layer 1–4 networking issues in high-throughput, low-latency AI/ML and HPC settings.

• Guide Customer Success Engineers, evaluate case strategies, and enhance the networking expertise of the team.

• Examine field data to uncover emerging trends, bottlenecks, and systemic flaws in network configurations.

• Oversee and update WEKA’s Known Issues Database, Technical Advisories, and Knowledge Base.

• Collaborate with Development on root cause investigations and future product features and diagnostic tools.

• Provide advanced networking training for internal support teams and key clients.

• Engage in technical design evaluations with internal and customer architecture teams.

• Enhance internal tools for packet capture, latency assessment, flow visualization, and path validation.

• Represent GRE in cross-functional architecture reviews concentrating on networking readiness and scalability.

• Take part in global 24/7 on-call operations and address high-severity incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience is accepted.

• Over 15 years in advanced technical support, network engineering, or network architecture positions within enterprise, cloud, or HPC environments.

• Proven ability to serve as a technical leader in multi-team escalations and critical customer situations.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and hybrid deployments is preferred.

• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.

• Willingness to support global operations, including on-call rotation and occasional travel.

• Expertise in Ethernet, Infiniband, RDMA/RoCE, DPDK, and UCX.

• Extensive experience with Arista, NVIDIA/Mellanox, Cisco, and Juniper switching and routing technologies.

• Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, LACP, ECMP, jumbo frames, MTU tuning, congestion control, and QoS.

• Practical experience with ethtool, iperf, perfquery, ifconfig, and fabric utilities.

• Advanced Linux systems administration skills, including sysctl, iptables/nftables, and routing tables.

• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical challenges in distributed systems and storage-intensive, compute-heavy workloads.

• Capacity to lead architectural discussions regarding datacenter fabrics for scale-out systems.

• Strong documentation capabilities and the ability to create internal guides and customer-facing technical content.

• Bonus experience with Kubernetes networking, Terraform, Ansible, and Python/Bash automation.
