This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Define and spearhead the global creative vision for Blue Bottle Coffee.
• Oversee the global creative process for key brand initiatives from inception to completion.
• Provide direct creative leadership through writing, design, and art direction.
• Tailor global creative strategies for local markets while preserving a unified global brand identity.
• Influence creative direction for new business ventures, product innovations, and guest experience concepts.
• Develop cohesive creative strategies across digital, retail, social, experiential, packaging, and product touchpoints.
• Advocate for Blue Bottle’s brand strategy, visual and verbal identity, along with creative standards.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Digital, Product, Training, Marketplace, and regional leadership teams.
• Enhance scalable creative capabilities through operational models, reviews, workflows, agency collaborations, and resource planning.
• Leverage market insights and performance data to enhance creative effectiveness.
• Represent the creative organization during executive presentations, company forums, and significant brand events.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing creative organization through coaching, mentorship, feedback, and a commitment to creative excellence.
• Over 10 years of creative leadership experience, including a minimum of four years managing multidisciplinary creative teams across global markets.
• Significant experience in building and evolving premium consumer or lifestyle brands.
• A portfolio showcasing outstanding creative work across digital, retail, social, packaging, experiential, film, photography, and product storytelling.
• Profound understanding of integrated marketing, full-funnel communications, and contemporary content ecosystems.
• Experience in establishing creative processes, production workflows, and scalable operating models.
• Proven ability to manage production budgets, agencies, freelancers, and complex creative programs.
• Exceptional writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated capability to recruit, develop, mentor, and retain creative talent.
• Proven success in leading cross-functional initiatives through influence, prioritization, and delegation.
• Experience working in Asia, with an understanding of the creative and cultural nuances of global markets.
• Professional fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese is a strong advantage.
