Global Head of Communications – Founding Hire

📋 Description

• Create a unique and engaging narrative surrounding the technology, mission, and founders

• Lead the communications strategy and implementation for the transition from stealth mode, along with major product, funding, and partnership announcements

• Foster relationships with journalists, influential researchers, industry leaders, and key stakeholders within the US and global AI landscape

• Enhance the public profiles of the founders through positioning, interviews, and speaking engagements

• Track the US AI and technology landscape, especially discussions on X, and provide insights for the founders and the Munich-based team

• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to transform complex technical work into narratives tailored for specific audiences

• Provide guidance to leadership on public perception, sensitive communications, and emerging discussions in AI and robotics

• Oversee the communications hire in Munich, coordinate with external agencies and partners, and manage the communications strategy across the US and Europe

• Work closely with founders and technical leadership to establish a global communications function

• Spearhead the public launch and solidify the company’s role in the global AI discourse

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in strategic communications or public relations, with a proven ability to craft high-profile narratives for technology firms

• Outstanding writing, storytelling, and editorial skills

• Profound understanding of AI and technology culture, particularly on X

• Strong connections within top US technology media and the broader tech ecosystem, with a track record of securing meaningful, high-quality coverage

• Experience in advising founders or senior executives, particularly in managing high-stakes announcements and sensitive reputation matters

• A strong technical curiosity with the capacity to engage with researchers and engineers, question assumptions, and translate complex technology into persuasive, credible narratives

• A proactive and resourceful mindset; comfortable in strategizing, writing and pitching independently, and leading a small international team and external partners

• Experience in deep tech, AI, robotics, or hardware is a significant advantage

• Willingness to travel frequently to the Munich headquarters and spend considerable time on-site with the team
