📋 Description

• Create and refine memos, presentations, and various client-facing documents based on research findings and pertinent background information.

• Prepare talking points, Q&A documents, and briefing materials for media appearances, subject to leadership review.

• Organize previous materials for potential reuse.

• Track news and media coverage to spot opportunities for timely polling and message testing.

• Develop research summaries and background information for staff briefings with Democratic campaigns, elected officials, advocacy organizations, and political allies.

• Gather and organize talking points, public statements, and social media content for message testing purposes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally 1–3 years of experience in Democratic politics, campaigns, legislative offices, or progressive advocacy; internship experience is included.

• Excellent writing and editing abilities, capable of transforming research into clear, precise talking points, memos, and briefing documents.

• Comfortable coordinating meetings and materials with political staff, clients, and media representatives, with support from senior staff.

• Familiarity with Democratic politics, key organizations, and the current news landscape.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capability to manage schedules, drafts, and requests under tight timelines.

• Good judgment regarding when to take initiative, pose questions, and identify issues, along with a readiness to revise work based on feedback.

• A dedication to supporting Democrats in winning and utilizing research to guide political decisions.

• Candidates must possess authorization to work legally in the United States.
