This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Act as a comprehensive resource for global customs and trade issues across the firm.
• Deliver value to clients while managing risks associated with global trade, particularly in customs and tariffs.
• Identify and cultivate customs and trade opportunities both internally and externally.
• Provide guidance to U.S. and international companies regarding global import and export strategies and compliance.
• Enhance and promote the Customs & Trade brand within the market.
• Oversee the successful execution and delivery of projects.
• Prepare responses to client inquiries through in-depth customs and excise technical research.
• Counsel clients on their global trade advisory needs and compliance obligations.
• Formulate and implement strategies to manage duty costs and global trade risks, enhance international trade compliance, and boost supply-chain efficiency.
• Stay updated on global trade trends and create innovative service offerings.
• Support new business development while maintaining exceptional client service.
• Build a client portfolio and assume leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
• Practical understanding of import and export processes, trade procedures, and necessary documentation.
• At least 8 years of experience in public service, consulting/advisory roles, supply chain/logistics, or international trade customs and excise.
• Familiarity with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Bureau of Industry and Security, Office of Foreign Assets Control, or Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
• Technical expertise in global customs, import and export issues, including valuation, classification, country of origin, free-trade agreements, export controls, licensing, and trade sanctions.
• Strong foundation and experience in International Trade, Trade Policy, and International Relations.
• 10–15+ years of experience in leading teams and/or managing projects.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
• Dedication to continuous learning and staying informed about relevant strategies.
• Ethical knowledge and a commitment to uphold ethical standards.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is highly preferred.
