Global Consular Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive consular submissions for business, visitor, and transit visas on a global scale.

• Formulate filing strategies based on nationality, residency, and destination, including expedited processing options.

• Provide guidance to clients regarding business visitor eligibility and allowable activities to mitigate compliance risks.

• Act as the primary escalation point for HR, mobility, and travel management clients concerning timelines and requirements.

• Recruit, train, and supervise consular specialists and coordinators; establish quality and turnaround expectations.

• Create and maintain a worldwide network of in-country legal counsel, visa agents, and couriers.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to automate consular processes within Manifest's platform.

• Lead and expand Manifest's consular services for business travelers as part of its global immigration practice.

• Work together with the global immigration team on multi-country travel needs related to market entry and acquisitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in consular or business visa processes at a global immigration firm, mobility provider, or in-house team.

• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role or overseeing a consular/visa function.

• Practical knowledge of business visa regulations across Europe/Schengen, the UK, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.

• Proven experience in managing in-country legal counsel and vendor networks.

• Excellent written communication skills tailored for non-expert audiences.

• Familiarity with business travel compliance programs or market entry advisory services.

• Experience in scaling global consular or visa service operations.

• Background in working at an embassy, consulate, or visa application center.

• Proficiency in additional languages.
