Global Category Manager – Independent Power Producer Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver autonomous commercial oversight for projects and challenge stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes for Aggreko.

• Grasp customer needs in IPP business opportunities as well as the broader market landscape.

• Spearhead the formulation of the supply chain strategy and establish the supplier selection process.

• Assist the IPP team in developing the business case for each opportunity.

• Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers through strategic and operational procurement teams.

• Define commercial requirements for customer proposals based on project specifications.

• Ensure that commercial elements are established for effective project execution.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business needs and the supply base.

• Confirm that suitable supply contracts are established with the relevant suppliers.

• Engage with and manage stakeholders effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, and vendor management.

• Background in power generation, emission reduction catalysts, transformers, batteries, and other pertinent capital equipment.

• Exhibit leadership capabilities and represent the strategic Procurement function alongside the IPP team.

• Possess commercial acumen and the ability to challenge internally and externally.

• Technically proficient; capable of understanding and acquiring knowledge about a diverse range of products and applications.

• Strong experience in negotiation and contract development.

• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management abilities.

• Communicates effectively and clearly with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
