GL/Excess Claims Adjuster III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of GL/Excess Claims across various states.

• Handle new loss assignments, reassignments, and establish appropriate reserves.

• Conduct coverage analysis, including responsibilities for defense, indemnity tasks, and choice of law considerations.

• Recognize issues that require resolution and implement methods aimed at risk transfer and achieving optimal results.

• Compose intricate coverage letters, which include reservations of rights, disclaimers, and responses to push-back correspondence.

• Formulate legal strategies in collaboration with counsel and manage GL/Excess litigation in accordance with established litigation guidelines.

• Liaise with coverage and defense counsel.

• Determine suitable cases for trial and prepare pre-trial reports alongside trial-related activities.

• Report to the Claim Manager within the GL/Excess group.

• Leverage artificial intelligence tools and resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in GL/Excess Claims is preferred; candidates showing progressive responsibility in GL may also be considered.

• A technical background focused on identifying coverage issues and interpreting policies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of liability policy language and coverage interpretation.

• Professional experience in a regulated environment.

• Capability to ensure adherence to company procedures.

• A college degree.

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without needing immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

• Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and resources, including generative AI.

• Experience managing a caseload primarily consisting of child abuse/sexual assault cases.
